Biosol RCAM, a synthetic oil based shear spray lubricant, was specially designed to improve the performance in cleanness and in the tolerance to water conditions. Biostable and pH improver are employed to eliminate bacteria and fungi from growing in the shear spray system. Adequate agitation is required to form an emulsion. Its emulsion has an excellent stability. No special housekeeping requirements should be of benefits to our customers.

DILUTION RATIO
Recommend mixing 1000 parts of water with 1 part Biosol [ +/- 200 ].
[We recommend a dilution ratio of between 800 to 1200 parts of water to 1 part of Kleenkut 2050. However, various glass plants use Biosol at either stronger or weaker concentrations than recommended.]
WATER QUALITY
Biosol requires treated water low in hard water salts for optimum performance.
Recommend maintaining hard water salts [calcium] below 35 ppm.
Recommend Deionization System rather than water softener.
A water softener replaces hard water salts (calcium & magnesium) with the more water soluble sodium and potassium salts. However, this method is not recommended because the level of Total Dissolved Solids is not reduced. This can cause build-up (and therefore problems) over time; especially in re-circulating systems.]
pH
pH should be kept between 7.0 and 8.5.
This is important to avoid problems of bacterial growth and also to avoid problems of corrosion. Many plants add chlorox (sodium hypochlorite) which is locally available in many countries. We also offer a very effective product called Aquasol 2 which is a pH promoter and bacteriacide specially designed for use with Kleenkut 2050.
BIOSOL EMULSION TEMPERATURE
Recommend water temperature to be between 5°ancl 40°C [41°and 104°F],
[Water hotter or colder than the temperature range recommended above may have a negative effect on operating performance.]
CARE OF NEAT BIOSOL
Maintain temperature of neat Biosol above -10°C [14°F]
[Below -10°C (14°F), Biosol will solidify. For this reason, the drums should be kept indoors in a warm place when received. Solidification does not render the product useless. Reliquified Biosol is as good as the original material. However, care should be taken to insure that all the material has reliquified. Sometimes this requires heating the material to between 25°and 35°C [77°and 95°F.]]
SPRAY SYSTEM
There are several state-of-the-art Shear Spray Systems available which were specifically designed for Biosol. Two examples are the Emhart and the Graphoidal Shear Spray Systems.
