Glassflow Gold, a scoop lubricant, is composed of a blend of highly refined oils which, due to their inherent chemical composition, are able to lubricate a delivery system without forming any build-up or deposits on the scoops, and without leaving any marks or residue on the gob.
Glassflow Gold will reduce the coefficient of friction between the gob and the scoops which allow delivery of the gob to the blank in a reliable, timely fashion each and every time.

Glassflow Gold can be applied by spraying it into the drop guide funnel or by spraying it directly onto the scoop. This can
be done by using the normal Emhart standardscoop oiler spray system or by using other similar spray equipment.
The following parameters represent a typical installation:
The air pressure of between 2 to 2.5 bar is recommended in order to pulverize the product into a fine mist. This is necessary to ensure that a uniform coating is applied to the scoop surface. This will help to avoid dripping, which can occur at lower pressures. Dripping the product into either of these areas may also work, though not as effectively as spraying.
Petroleum oils require application every 5th or 10th gob. Shear spray emulsions are continuously applied in the troughs. Glassflow Gold requires application only every 50 to 100 gobs. Using Glassflow Gold will allow you to reduce your oil consumption between a factor of 5 to 10 times without carbon build-up. And because Glassflow Gold is a straight
petroleum oil with no emulsifiers or emulsifiable additives, it will completely and quickly separate fromyour wastewater.
Glassflow Gold is transferred via the movement of the gob from its application point to the remainder of the delivery system. This makes it possible to lubricate the entire delivery system with one easy application of Glassflow Gold at either the scoop or the drop guide funnel.
Extensive testing of Glassflow Gold was performed at the Fresenius Institute inGermany and the product was found to be a safe, non-toxic, non-hazardous product regarding the environment. These results are available from ELNA upon request. They should be interpreted in the context of an individual plant situation and the local laws which prevail.
