Molac TM, petroleum oil-based, was designed to enhance the thermal stability, to improve the cleanness, to prolong the service life, and to reduce sulfur odor of the product.
This system has employed high temperature bonding and glass-barrier chemicals which will promote parison to be released from mold easily. After being appropriately swabbed, Molac TM will be dried quickly forming a uniform lubricant film.

SWAB PREPARATION
Presoak swabs in mineral oil
Presoak enough swabs for 1 shift
Presoaking the swabs in mineral oil enables the graphite in Molac TM to easily penetrate into the swab.
This improvesthe efficiency of swabbing
USE 2 SWABS PER MACHINE FOR THE MOLDS
Swab each half of the mold side of the machine with a different swab
Provides a more uniform, even distribution of product.Using only one swab usually results in some sections receiving too much dope and others too little.
LOAD SWAB IMMEDIATELY AFTER LUBRICATING CYCLE
Reload swab directly after swabbing while the swab is still hot
A hot swab makes it easier for Molac TM to efficiently penetrate into the center of the swab.
ALWAYS HANG SWABS UP AFTER USE
This practice avoids swab laying in the dope tray and getting saturatedwith oil
Helps keep swabs properlyloaded with lubricant.
SWAB FROM TOP TO BOTTOM
Provides a smooth, even film of graphite each time you swab
Swabbing up and down, or in a random fashion,will yield a discontinuous film and reduce
performance.
ON BLANKS; TOUCH-UP AS NECESSARY TOELIMINATE DEFECT[S]
Molac TM is a concentrated product which should be applied with a very dry swab.
I.S. machine operators shouldrely on their experience to apply the product in order
to eliminate defects.
ON MOLDS; SWAB NECK, SHOULDER, BOTTOM PLATE AND ENGRAVINGS
It is not necessary to lubricate the entiremold surface because the lubricating film functions mostly as a release agent and is not needed to provide lubrication for loading the gob.
