Damchex SX is an anti-checking compound to be used on finish molds and blanks. It is sulfurized polymer without graphite. It was designed to enhance the thermal stability, to improve the cleanness, to prolong the service life, and to reduce sulfur odor of the product.
After being appropriately swabbed, Damchex SX will be dried quickly forming a uniform lubricant film. An appropriate swabbing approach should be adjusted and found by operators depending upon a real application situation.
NON-GRAPHITED, TOUCH-UP COMPOUND

PROVIDES RELEASE AND BURNS OFF CLEANLY

EXCELLENT INSULATION CHARACTERISTICS

SUPERIOR ANTI-CHECKING PROPERTIES

IMPROVES EFFICIENCY OF THE FORMING OPERATION

COATING GRADUALLY DECOMPOSES & VANISHES
SWAB PREPARATION

Presoak swabs in mineral oil
Presoak enough swabs for 1 shift
This improves the efficiency of swabbing

LOAD SWAB IMMEDIATELY AFTER LUBRICATING CYCLE

Reload swab directly after swabbing while the swab is still hot
A hot swab makes it easier for Damchex SX to efficiently penetrate into the center of the swab.

ALWAYS HANG SWABS UP AFTER USE

This practice avoids swab laying in the dope tray and getting saturated with oil
Helps keep swabs properly loaded with lubricant

ON THE MOLD SIDE

Lubricate the top of the mold so there will be no mold checks underneath the finish
Lubricate the seams of the mold so there will not be any seam checks
Lubricate by rubbing the engravings of the blow mold
Lubricate around the bottom plate and mold match to eliminate heel checks

ON THE BLANK SIDE

Lubricate the baffles - top lips of the blank and shoulder areas
Lubricate areas of the blank which correspond to defects on the bottle

IN PRESS OPERATIONS

Lubricate around the plunger
Lubricate the joints of the mold
Lubricate the ring seat of the mold
Lubricate between the plunger and the ring
